It is a requirement that staff undertaking this course will have completed AWARENESS OF CHILD ABUSE AND NEGLECT or  Refresher within last 3 years and WORKING TOGETHER TO SAFEGUARD CHILDREN

Aim

To improve understanding and skills in working together to protect children and young people through Child Protection Conferences and Child Protection Plans.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the course participants will have:

  • Gained knowledge of the relevant procedures as outlined in the ERSCP Procedures and Guidance
  • Understood the relevance of assessments, in particular core assessments, and conference reports to the safeguarding children process
  • Obtained a working knowledge of different roles and responsibilities in Child Protection Conferences and the development of Child Protection Plans
