Managing Allegations
The East Riding Safeguarding Children Board has developed a Managing Allegations Toolkit. The following Guidance Booklets forms part of the Toolkit:

East Riding Safeguarding Children Board " Safe Recruitment Toolkit" has been developed by a multi agency working group. The toolkit is intended for use by all organisations with responsibility for recruitment of staff or volunteers who work with children, young people or vulnerable adults.

From 1st April 2008, children will no longer be placed on the Child Protection Register but will be subject to a Child Protection Plan.

The East Riding Safeguarding Children Board Parenting Handbook is an extensive information resource designed for use by parents, carers and professionals alike. It contains help, advice and highlights some of the major issues affecting children and young people and includes many local and national contact numbers. Child Deaths
From 1st April 2008, East Riding Safeguarding Children Board is responsible for collecting and analysing information about child deaths of children and young people (up to the age of 18) within East Riding. From this information, it should be possible to identify patterns and trends and take specific action to prevent some similar deaths in the future.
